Since 1992, the Small Business & Entrepreneurship Centre has provided thousands of entrepreneurs with the training and support necessary to start and grow successful businesses in the Windsor-Essex region. We offer guidance and complimentary professional advice from ideation and concept, through start-up and operation, to the early growth and expansion stages of business.
The opportunity to develop supports focused on women entrepreneurs launched in 2019 with funding received from FedDev Ontario through the Women Entrepreneurship Strategy. RISE is a network of organizations that empower women entrepreneurs operating in the Windsor-Essex, region located in Southwestern Ontario Canada. Founded by Invest WindsorEssex, and led by the Small Business & Entrepreneurship Centre in partnership with the University of Windsor’s EPICentre, Workforce WindsorEssex, WEtech Alliance, Build-A-Dream and Windsor Essex Capital Angel Network (WECAN) we are working together to support and encourage more women to start and grow entrepreneurial endeavours.
